ASTM A688 specification covers seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel feedwater heater tubes including those bent,if specified, into the form of U-tubes for application in tubularfeed-water heaters. The TP304LN grade is a low-carbon (L) and nitrogen (N) strengthened version of 304 stainless steel. The addition of nitrogen provides higher strength than TP304L without compromising corrosion resistance.
