ASTM A312 TP310S is a material used for general corrosive services and high temperature services for prolonged periods of time. The composition of the A312 Tp310s material includes carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur and chromium and nickel. The composition makes the material withstand highly oxidizing agents under high temperatures. However, the SA 312 Tp 310s has lower carbon than the standard version and this adds the pipes more toughness. In getting the comparison, the strength for high temperatures is reduced in the 310s Stainless Steel Pipe products. Therefore they are preferred in applications that have continuous operations under mild to high temperatures. Due to the low carbon content, the Aisi 310s Stainless Steel Welded Pipe does not develop much intergranular corrosion. Therefore these pipes don’t have localized corrosion. So the applications that require heavy welding can use this material grade. The excellent toughness and the reduced corrosion make them applicable under cryogenic conditions as well. But the most common applications of Seamless Pipe 310s are seen in general corrosive services.
