ASTM A269 TP317 tube is a stainless steel material that is manufactured as tubing from alloy 317, to perform perfectly in highly corrosive conditions. This specification applies to both seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel tubes which has mainly used in wide cross-section pipe for overall crippling resistance and excellent corrosive atmosphere. 316 stainless steel is also called UNS S31600, but Tp317 stainless steel is with better molybdenum than 316, it has better performance in corrosion resistance such as pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride corrosion in aggressive environments.
