Description



The VOC Sorbent Tube (Stainless Steel with Copper Cap, ¼” × 3½”) is a thermal desorption sorbent tube, precision-engineered for the reliable collection and analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) in air and gas samples. Constructed from high-quality stainless steel and sealed with durable brass/copper storage caps, this sampling tube adheres to industry standards, delivering exceptional performance in environmental monitoring, industrial hygiene, and indoor air quality analysis applications.



This tube, with an outer diameter of ¼ inch and a length of 3½ inches (6.35 mm × 89 mm), conforms to the internationally recognized industry-standard format, ensuring full compatibility with leading thermal desorption systems, including those from PerkinElmer, Markes International, Dani, and Shimadzu, as well as major domestic thermal desorption equipment. Available in various sorbent configurations—including single, dual, and triple bed combinations—our VOC sampling tubes are designed to meet the rigorous demands of regulations such as HJ734-2014, EPA TO-17, and EN ISO 16017.

  • Tenax TA (200 mg): 2,6-diphenyl-p-phenylene oxide porous polymer; ideal for detecting medium to high boiling point VOCs, benzene, and total VOCs (TVOCs)
  • Tenax GR: Tenax and graphite composite; expanded range for lower boiling point compounds
  • Activated Carbon: Coconut shell activated carbon for broad-spectrum VOC capture



Dual Bed Combination (Combinations 1 & 2)

  • Combination 1: Tenax GR (30 mm) + Carbopack B (25 mm) – suitable for a wide range of VOCs, including aromatic hydrocarbons
  • Combination 2: Carbopack B (30 mm) + Carboxen 1000 (10 mm) – optimized for both volatile and semi-volatile compounds



Triple Bed Combination (Combination 3)

  • Carbopack C (13 mm) + Carbopack B (25 mm) + Carboxen 1000 (13 mm) – comprehensive coverage for C3 to C16 compounds
